When there's a birthday here at PoolDawg, we treat it a little differently than most normal offices.  Sure, there's cake, cards and presents, but the good folks here do have a, well let's call it unique sense of humor. For example, most people get a nice normal sheet cake.  For me though, I was presented with a special 40th birthday cake.

The birthday messages on my card included references to Viagra, losing things, writing in extra large letters and of course being bald, boring and old. And then there were the gifts. They wanted to make me feel younger, so my birthday bounty included a Spongebob hat, a Spongetastic ribbon (both of which I was told I must wear all day) and a pack of WWE trading cards (scored a Undertaker hologram card which I'm totally going to trade for some Alf POGs), not to mention the hand drawn, full wall sized grim reaper poster.

In all seriousness, I really did enjoy my birthday.  We've got an amazing crew over here and the fact that they would take the time to give me this much grief is quite touching in a demented, twisted sort of way.  Plus, I get to do business in a seriously fun industry (this is wayyyy better than marketing bodybuilding supplements and some of the other stuff I've pimped over the years) while still getting my online marketing fix. All in all, it's been a pretty kickass day.
