Get Your Irish On (2/28/11)

Erin Go Bragh PoolDawgians!

I know it is still February, but we're close enough so that I can do my annual St. Patrick's Day email, right?  That's good, because I do love St. Patrick's Day.  When I was growing up, it was never a big deal, but after marrying a nice Irish girl, I learned all about the joys of St. Patrick's Day.  I'm still not sure what driving the snakes out of Ireland has to do with green beer, but I've learned to just go with it.

While we're on the topic, did you know that we carry some Irish themed pool cues?  Yeah, like I was really going to send this email without reminding you all that we have all sorts of Irish themed pool cues, some of which aren't even made by McDermott.  And cue (no pun intended) the always exciting gratuitous sales pitch...

The McDermott Dubliner Cue - $373.15

So technically, every McDermott cue can be considered an Irish themed cue, but this one is really, really Irish.  Not only does it have the standard shamrock McDermott logo, but it also has six green shamrocks inlaid into the rings above and below the wrap.  In all seriousness, it is a stunningly beautiful cue.

In addition to all the shamrocks and stuff, this cue also comes with McDermott's G-Core high performance shaft.  This is easily the most popular McDermott cue that we sell.

The Outlaw Shamrock Cue - $124.00

I know, I know.  It isn't green.  Still though, this is one really nice cue.  Known throughout the House of PoolDawg as the McOutlaw, it has all the torch wood branding that come with every Outlaw cue, but instead of a cow skull or a six shooter, you get a very cool barbed four leaf clover.

Once these sell out, they won't be back until 2012 (we hope), so if you like what you see, be sure to lock one up.

The Athena Shamrock Ladies Cue - $95.20

Now I know what you're thinking.  "A cue made just for ladies? Really?".  Yes indeedy.  People ask us quite a bit how you make a pool cue for women because you can't just wrap a cue in pink and call it a true ladies cue.

Here's the difference.  Every Athena cue comes with a thinner shaft to serve a smaller hand, a slightly shorter shaft and a 10" screw in extension.  Plus, lots of pretty designs, and in this case some super sweet shamrocks.

The Action Impacts Irish Cue - $71.20

I really do love this little cue.  For under 100 bucks, you get a really solid playing cue with a true Irish linen wrap and some seriously slick designs.

As I'm sure you've guessed, it does have an Irish theme to it with shamrocks and emerald green point designs, but here's what I really love about it - each of the shamrocks are outlined with a wire style design giving it a seriously unique look.

The Mayhem Leprachaun Cue - $87.20

If St. Patrick's Day makes you think of leprechauns instead of a green Chicago river, public drunkeness and shamrock shakes, have we got the pool cue for you!  Rather than show you another picture of a cue where you can't see all the detail, we managed to get the artwork from this cue so you can see just how wicked awesome this little leprechaun is.

Now because it is a Mayhem cue, you aren't going to get a Disneyfied leprechaun.  Instead, you get one that makes you say "woah, you can keep your gold little dude.  Just don't eat me".
