Schon Custom Cues Edition (11/13/12)

Howdy PoolDawgians!

Here at PoolDawg, we carry a lot of pool cues and a ton of different brands.  Of all the brands we carry, one of my favorites has to be Schon Custom Cues.  I know I say that pretty much every brand is my favorite brand, but this time I really, really mean it.  For reals

See, with Schon, you're getting more than just a great playing pool cue.  You're getting a serious work of art.  The amount of time and craftsmanship that goes into each Schon cue is crazy amazing and the company is exactly what you would picture a custom cue maker to be.  Small, experienced (Schon's been around for over 30 years) trained by the best and based in Wisconsin.

After you're done checking out these masterpiece cues, be sure to read our latest article from Samm Diep-Vidal.  This week, Samm talks about how to keep it professional while you're playing pool.  And away we go!

Schon CX86 Pool Cue

As Schon cues go, the CX86 goes in a slightly different direction than others. The design is really about contrasts, with ebony points inlaid in birdseye on the forearm and birdseye points inlaid in ebony throughout the sleeve.  In addition, Schon has included a beautiful double pressed Irish linen wrap to give the cue an absolutely classic feel.

Schon CX87 Pool Cue

If you're looking for a truly classic look in a Schon cue, look no further than the CX87. Everything about this cue is classic. The forearm is pristine birdseye maple with traditional ebony points. The butt sleeve is straight ebony with nickel silver rings. The other area to take note of on this cue is the handle. Instead of going with Irish linen, Schon went with a pure ebony handle. If you're a fan of ebony wood, this is your dream cue.

Schon CX83 Pool Cue

When you purchase a Schon pool cue, you know you're getting one of the best hitting cues in the business. The guys at Schon have hit it out of the park again with the CX83. This model features inlaid turquoise, ebony and ivory in both the forearm and the sleeve. Instead of a traditional wrap, Schon has opted for an ebony no wrap handle.

Schon CX85 Pool Cue

Every year, the geniuses over at Schon outdo themselves with their cue designs. The CX85 really is a work of art. It features beautiful birdseye maple throughout the forearm and sleeve. The inlaid points are true ebony and recon Ivory. To top it off, Schon went and threw in a bunch of abalone diamond inlays throughout the butt of the cue.
