Top Specialty Pool Cues
As most pool players will tell you, as you start getting more serious about your game, you need to consider getting yourself specialty cues for certain shots. The most popular specialty cues are the break cue, jump cue and break jump cue.
There are a few reasons why you want to use a specialty cue rather than your shooting cue for breaking and jumping. Specialty cues typically feature harder tips which will give you more power and accuracy when jumping or breaking. Specialty cues are made to withstand the additional stress that is placed on the shaft when jumping or breaking. Using your shooting cue to jump or break can be potentially harmful to your shaft. Jump cues are intentionally shorter than shooting cues to give you more leverage when attempting a jump shot, providing for a better overall shot.
