    • I THOUGHT I WAS ON A FOOLS ERRAND SPENDING $90.00 ON SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE JUST SLIGHTLY BETTER THAN A GOOD BRUSH. BUT, PARDON ME, THIS IS A SUPERIOR TOOL TO ANYTHING YOU HAVE TRIED YET. JUST RUB IT ACROSS THE TABLE AND WATCH IT COME BACK TO IT'S ORIGINAL LOOK AND LIFE.
      I AM STILL WORKING ON THE CLEANING OF THE X-1 AS YET. I UNDERSTAND JUST RUNNING IT UNDER WATER WILL CLEAN IT. I SHOULD HAVE TRIED IT BEFORE FILLING OUT THIS FORM. BUT BUY IT AND TRY IT YOURSELF.

    • I saw this product used on TV; I took a chance thinking it was likely a mediocre tool for cleaning my table -- I was wrong! This tool works incredibly well and completely out-performs a standard table brush. I will never use my brush again!

    • This handy cleaner jumps out of its nearby box and does what Simonis says it will - removes chalk dust from deep in the fabric better than a vacuum cleaner, apparently without the slow damage to the cloth a la long term vacuuming. Use it in a comfortable circular motion and marvel at the new cloth appearance it leaves. It's a joy to see cueball backup bite in - or follow faster - like on a new cloth. btw, I recommend one still do a light horsehair brushing first for any small debri. And it is a bit pricey, but I expect it to add at lease a year or two to the life of the cloth. A pool table is a long term investment and a little extra for longer life makes sense, hardly to mention the better performance - and enhanced performance alone is enough for me to bite the bullet. I give it 4 1/2 stars (I've never given a 5 to anything.)

    • As the co-owner of an upscale poolroom/sports bar in Schofield, Wisconsin, it is important to provide our 32 BCAPL league teams, as well as the casual player, with well-maintained equipment. After recovering all 12 Diamond tables in August with Simonis 860HR, I discovered Simonis came out with a new table cleaning tool, the X-1. After ordering & receiving an X-1 from Pooldawg, I was pleased with how easy it was to use, and how clean it got the new Simonis. The REAL test, however, came at home, on my 11 yr. old 9 foot; Brunswick Gold Crown IV. (also, with 11 yr. old Simonis 860) FRANKly, (no pun intended) it had a disgusting build-up of chalk and powder under the cloth, as well as nasties on top of the cloth. 1 made one light pass over the table with the X-1, and it almost looked (and played) like new! Simonis claims it will hold a 1/2 cube of chalk, and I am inclined to believe them! If you invest in quality cloth for your table, this is money well-spent. ~nancy masgay~ Mickeys Billiards, Schofield, Wisconsin
