This cue is crafted with a North American ash shaft and butt with ebony points on the forearm and blue and white machine spliced soft points in the sleeve area. The brass collar, joint and ferrule provide the solid hit with good feel preferred by many players. Not as well made as I had hoped. The shaft was not smooth and had slight grooves in it -either shipping mishandling or poor QC. Returned it and upgraded to a Peradon which seems to be a better product.
