    • I've been shooting pool for years now, but I've always struggled with the break (probably because I had to always rely on stupid house cues for breaks). Whenever possible, I used to elect for my opponent to break because I was so insecure about my own breaking ability.

A little over a month ago I bought the Action ACTBJZ just as an experiment to see if anything changes. To be honest I wasn't really expecting much, seeing as the ACTBJZ is one of the cheapest break cues you can find.

At first I was having a bit of difficulty adjusting to the cue, because the feel of a phenolic tip is just so different compared to a leather tip (and the absence of a wrap on the butt also adds to the difficulty). But once I got used to the feel, my breaks improved like you wouldn't believe. As any professional player would tell you, the break is the most important shot in a game of 8-ball or 9-ball. So in combination with my new Fury RP-6 playing cue, I have been breaking and running racks all over the place. I still need to figure out the jump shot, but I think it is safe to conclude that the Action ACTBJZ has added a whole new dimension to my game. Highly recommended.
