Overview

Any fan of pool and billiards who's watched a televised event has seen this cue ball with red dots, and now Aramith has released this unique red dot cue ball to the public. This distinctive cue ball is exactly like the ones you see on ESPN. The six red dots on the cue allow you to see the spin of the cue ball. Unsurpassed in quality, each ball is made with Aramith's unique phenolic resin making them among the sturdiest and most impact resistant balls on the market.Aramith phenolic balls last up to five times longer than other balls made from polymers or polyester. Billiards-play simulators have shown that Aramith phenolic balls are still perfectly playable even after 400,000 hits, whereas others were rendered unusable.Size- 2 1/4 inchesWeight- 6 oz.

Great for training and competitive play.

    • I bought this ball to assist as an english trainer, and it has worked fantastically in that manner. I had been using the 13, but the feedback from this ball is outstanding. Keep in mind that, when first learning to use english, you will be looking at the CB in training, not the OB, in order to ensure that you are striking the CB at the correct point. Once you have become confident that your striking point on the CB is adequate to provide proper control over the CB, then transition back into looking at the OB when you take your shot using english.
The reaction you get from people the first time they see the ball is fun as well.

      Great for playing

    • Using this ball made a big difference in my game. It seems to roll much quicker than regular bar balls and its easier to predict off rails with the measles. Phenolic seems to still put burn marks in it but I stopped using phenolic anyways.

    • The pros on TV use it, why not us !

The concept is misunderstood however. Since we know the object ball is where your eyes should be focussed at impact, the "spin" would be unseen by the shooter. However, as an observer, cue-ball "spin" is obvious - if you're looking at the CB - not the OB!

Measles balls may not make you a better shooter, but it will surely help you learn a lot - from an observer!

    • Outstanding cue ball. I am afraid that now I am going to have to buy the complete set of Super Pro... I have heard this all before. Try just one, it won't hurt you...

      measles cue ball review

    • I bought this ball from Pooldawg and it's the only one I use at home. It really helps me watch the spin I get after I hit the ball. It also helps when training in english shots. I would definitely suggest anybody who is in the training phase of their time on the table buy this for help.

    • I use my measles ball pretty much where ever I play. Not only has it helped me remove some extremely bad habits, but it consistently helps with my play. As an engineer, I rely on precision and accuracy in my everyday life... this cue ball fits right in. They do make great stocking-stuffers as well!
