Overview
With the new Predator 2nd generation 314 shafts, it's even easier to pocket balls using English. You'll notice increased reduction in cueball deflection and a slightly shorter ferrule than the 1st generation shafts for enhanced performance. Joint inserts are mounted in a phenolic core for better surface contact and stability. The tip has also been improved to reduce mushrooming and increase the life of the tip. The result of these enhancements is overall improvement in playability over the 1st generation Predator shafts.Please note that due to manufacturer restrictions we cannot ship Predator products outside of the United States and Canada.

Very stiff-hitting shaft that reduces deflection quite a bit. It actually threw my aim off on half-ball hits for a few games until I stopped adjusting for the way a normal shaft bends when using a lot of side/English.

When I received my shaft I realized it was not the one I ordered. I was sent a 30" and not a 29". I called and explained the situaation and they immediately shipped the right one out that day and I should have it by Friday and I will return this one with the return tag that is in my new one. This is what I call service where they go ahead and ship and you don't have to wait for yours to go back before they ship it. It was the right shaft just not the right length.

The other guy who reviewed this shaft must've gotten a serious lemon. I've got a 2nd gen 314 and haven't had any warping issues. From a performance perspective, I've hit with most of the LD shafts (Predator, OB, Hybrid, Katana) and they all seem pretty similar. The 314 and OB are the tops, but the hybrid and katana aren't far behind.

beware of warpage

I had been using the original Predator 314 for about 4 years, and then I got the 314-2. Used it for about 6 months and then it warped. I called and sent e-mails about this, as I take immaculate care of my cues, and they said that they didn't guarantee warpage. I have since gone to the ob shafts and have never had a problem with them.
