When a business starts to get large enough to be recognized within it's industry, it is important to find ways to give back.  With that in mind, PoolDawg has adopted the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as the cause that we want to bring attention to. Currently there are approximately 3 million Americans who live with type 1 diabetes.  Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas.  To stay alive, people with type 1 diabetes must take multiple insulin injections daily or continually infuse insulin through a pump. This is a cause that hits close to home with the PoolDawg family, as both PoolDawg player rep Sarah Rousey and the daughter of PoolDawg's Marketing Director both live with type 1 diabetes.  As a first step in raising awareness and bringing support to this cause, members of Team PoolDawg will be taking part in the annual Walk to Cure Diabetes September 12th in Denver, Colorado. If anyone reading this would like to support this cause, feel free to click the ribbon below which will take you to the team donation page.  Be sure to check back after the event for pictures.  Who knows, Frank T. Dawg might even stow away and make an appearance.
