Ah, change. Change is good, but sometimes change can be painful. Whether it's Peter Brady's post-pubescent voice cracking, tearing out your kitchen cabinets or in our case, rebuilding and relaunching our website, change is one of those things that sucks when you're going through it, but the end result is often worth the pain.
This has been a big week for us here at PoolDawg's World Wide Headquarters. Over the past few days, we've made some pretty drastic changes to our core website. We've taken a bunch of the feedback our customers have provided us with over the years and blended those suggestions into PoolDawg v3.0.
Some of the new features you'll find include:
- A completely revamped layout
- A new wish list feature
- A vastly improved learning center (now called PoolDawg Academy)
- Side by side product comparisons
- A one page express checkout
- An improved product rating system
- More filtering tools to make finding products easier
The changes are going to make the overall experience much better, but there was one small issue that we encountered. If you currently have an account, we were able to port most of your information over, but you will need to do a password recovery (as we had to reset everyone's passwords).
By now, everyone should be seeing the new website. The switchover took a bit longer than anticipated, but now that we're almost 3 full days into the new site, the new stuff should be fully accessable to everyone.
